First Lady Debbie Morse, Pleasant Grove AME Church | Hinesville, GA

Debbie Lynn Morse is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She is the youngest child born to the late William Arnold and Ludie Arnold. She is a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School and Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Lady Debbie is the devoted wife of Pastor John E. Morse Jr., United in marriage in December 1982 and the proud mother of two children, Jessica and Jennifer Morse.  Affectionately known as Reverend Debbie, she is truly an inspiration to the ministry and a faithful servant of God.  Reverend Debbie serves as the Minister of music, Praise and Worship Leader, serves on the Ministerial Staff, and the Leader of the Women of Destiny Ministry. She has a passion for helping hurting women by encouraging them, praying for them, and helping to pull out all that God has put in them to reach their destiny.

Reverend Debbie is the co-founder of the Georgia Conference Choir.  In 1999 she accepted her call in the ministry and in May of 2002 received her certificate of evangelism and in March 2011 she was ordained as a local Elder in the AME Church.  She formerly hosted a radio broadcast called Beauty for Ashes and now hosts panel discussions during the year on “Around the Table with Debbie.”

She proudly stands beside her husband, Pastor John E. Morse, Jr. in leading the Pleasant Grove AME Church family. She stands with him and his sentiment for the people of God, “I love you and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
